Tarek El Moussa is on "Flip or Flop" co-star and ex-wife Christina Hall's side amid her divorce.
On July 19, the "Christina on the Coast" host and her real estate agent husband Josh Hall separately filed divorce documents in Orange County, California last week — and El Moussa spoke to E! News about the split.
"We got one shot at life and we gotta do what's best for us, so whatever she needs, we're here to help," he told the entertainment news outlet, adding that "life is tough" and stuff "happens." He added that his ex-wife will "get through this."
According to Orange County Superior Court filings obtained by USA TODAY, both sides cited irreconcilable differences and listed their date of separation as last week.

Josh Hall claimed in his petition, dated July 12, that they separated July 8, while Christina Hall wrote July 7 in her filing, which was signed Monday. The couple tied the knot on Oct. 6, 2021, and nearly a year later, they had a wedding ceremony in Maui. Hall first announced her engagement to Josh Hall in September 2021, debuting a big sparkly ring on Instagram two months after she went public with their relationship.
The two did not have any children together, but Josh Hall was a stepdad to Christina's children — 13-year-old Taylor, 8-year-old Brayden from her previous marriage to El Moussa and 4-year-old Hudson with British TV personality Ant Anstead.
Christina Hall and Tarek El Moussa will be joined by "Selling Sunset" real estate agent Heather El Moussa and Josh Hall for a "spicy" new series, the quartet announced on Instagram in May. All four are still set to star in the show.
Last week, Josh Hall asked for the rights to TV series and specials they made during their marriage to be deemed community property that will be divided equally.
Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall first rose to fame during a 10-season run on the fan-favorite HGTV program "Flip or Flop," which followed the now-divorced couple as they flipped homes in Orange County, California.
